react 引用问题

前几天浏览了下react的Tutorial,自己照官网写了一点东西,但是貌似引用出了问题.
React Tutorial of Geting Start

在src/helloworld.js中:

ReactDOM.render(  <h1>Hello, world!</h1>,  document.getElementById('example')
);

在helloworld.html中:

<script type="text/babel" src="src/helloworld.js"></script>

用python的http.server简易地搭建了一下并再浏览器中访问helloworld.html
发现渲染失败,浏览器控制台出现以下错误提示:

browser.min.js:27 Uncaught SyntaxError: http://localhost:8000/src/helloworld.js: Unexpected token (3:4)ReactDOM.render(    
    <h1>Hello, world!</h1>
    document.getElementById('example')
)

但是如果我把helloworld.js改'helloworld.jsx,就能正常引用.
是不是说文档写错了?还是我的浏览器出问题了?
(ps: 浏览器版本: Google Chrome 55.0.2859.0 dev)

<h1>Hello, world!</h1>&nbsp;后面的逗号你没写
